I haven't had the Superhawk on the track since Nov 2005 and I've got a bug up my ***, soooooooooooooooooo.....

I'm going to bust out the VTR for a one-off RACE at Summit Point Raceway
I must have a rock in my head, but tires have been purchased! Time to dust off the track plastic and tank. All I need is a steering damper, turkey pan, a lot of safety wire, and a healthy dose of throttle control I'll be racing Heavyweight Twins Superstock Novice along with my usual Lightweight classes on the SV at the WERA regional event there. I think it'll be a blast and... what the hell

Well, 1st update. Ordered the Steering Damper (required to race). I've never needed one on the Superhawk, so it's a Shindy This has also given me the excuse to buy a shock for it (finally). I've got a Penske coming from Traxxion Dynamics. The only lousy thing is Penske doesn't stock it, so it's a 3 week wait. I guess it needs to be built. Traxxion set up the Penske on my SV and it works great. This weekend I'll start figuring how much drilling I need to accomplish. Shouldn't be too much.
