chemical paint stipper for vtr1000 tank.. need help

Any recommendations on what to use to strip clearcoat and paint on vtr1000 tank.. tried basic auto stripper did nothing.. any products out there that anyone has tried.. I am going to paint a tank on my vtr and a total 95 magna this winter.. and don't want to sand..

"Aircraft Remover" By Klean-strip will take it off but beware it is very hazardas. Thats what makes it good, but you will probably for health reason want a respirator made for paint and chemical fumes, good luck

ya from what i have seen people use is aircraft paint remover.

If you're doing a paint job you're going to have to do some sort of sanding. Why strip all the original paint off when all you have to do is sand some of it down? It's fine to leave some of a proper paint job underneath, and it's probably prefererred. I could do a light sand on a stock paint tank in no time with any decent sander and have it ready for cleaning and prime/paint. ALOT easier than all that nasty stripper. Plus you don't have to worry about flash rust and priming it and you'd have to sand anyway before you spray it and probably right after you're done stripping too because SOMETHING will be left over.
