Another bar conversion kit...

Came across an advertisement in the new issue of "Performance Bikes" for an outfit in Great Britain called "998cc.com" that offers what they call "Comfort Kits." The kit for the Superhawk features a new alloy top yoke, risers, a Renthal 22mm handlebar, two extended plastic coated stainless front brake lines, and an extended plastic coated stainless clutch line. With a small Performance Bikes discount applied the delivered total to North America is a mere 242.66 pounds- which translates to $489.01 at today's exchange rates. Whoa!

LSL bars

Sounds like you've discovered the LSL bar kit made in Germany and distributed by Speigler. I have one installed on my 99 Hawk and love it, expensive!! When I installed the kit I had to cut into the fairing to allow the bars have a larger lock to lock. It was a little tricky but nothing too complicated.

While I'm very familiar with the German designed and fabricated LSL handlebar conversion kits for various bikes this kit isn't a relabeled or repackaged LSL kit- but rather a British alternative. Having seen the LSL kits they get top marks for fit and finish. But neither kit is the most "cost effective" conversion available.
