hello all new here
ok guys I just got a vtr 996, and I wanna know whats up with the super chicken thing? Anybody thats ever been on a hawk and truely appreciates its power and looks would not call this beautiful monster a chicken.

you know I have called mine a super chicken in the past but only when talking to people that really understand what the bike is and can do.
I lucked out this time though and scored a fire storm but unfortunately end up explaining way to often what it is and why it says fire storm

think of it this way. if a cracker refers to a black with the N word, it's offensive; if a black refers to himself or others using the N word, it's OK.

Personally, i don't give a rat's *** who calls my bike what. I know what it is and that's all I care about.

I don't know about that. I guess you've never seen a **** fight. We used to have a rooster at the frat house and were forced by the local cops to give him to a farmer because he would attack anything or anybody no matter how big the were. A mean sumbitch.

instead of superchicken, how bout supercock? naahhh....lord, i apologize for that and all the...............................

I don't think the Japanese are very good at naming things. Some of the best names were for WWII fighter planes. Mustang, Hellcat, Spitfire. The Japanese fighter was called the Zero, probably one of the reasons they lost the war.

Lol

i always thought the Mitsubishi Zero had a real badass name to it, its probly my favourite plane name..

Here in ireland, my bike isnt called a superhawk. Its called a VTR Firestorm. Which sounds badass imo i love it when people ask me wat bike i have and i say that, im just like yeah my bikes badass, what of it lol

I think a lot of japanese bikes have great names, firestorm, fireblade, ninja, bandit, katana, etc all good names for a bike.

The superhawk btw is called that after the superhawk honda produced a long time ago like in the 60s or something, which has pretty legendary status now thats why they revived the name for our bikes.

as for superchicken, more a term of endearment amongst us fans than a slur imo

SH's are great in the twisties and i know what you mean about burnin R1's, but the the truth is that if you switched bikes, the R1 would be leadin the way.

Lemme guess, the silver one? I was up there on my 'wing last summer and he dusted me at Rocky Bottom, then what seemed like 30 seconds later he passed going back the other way...

would you rather prefer the politically correct "African American"? I wouldn't want to offend anyone's sensitivity. I will edit that post ASAP.

I refer to mine as Super Chicken myself, so it doesn't bother me in the least.

Mines called Honey. Baby was already taken (BMW). Sweet and smooth like Honey. Something a bit natural about it, but too much is probably not good for you. And I don't even really like others talking too her or about her. Superchicken? I guess we can all just assume some other bike was being referred to. Shawk's cool tho!
