900 929 or 954? Seeking comments

I would like to add one of these to my stable. I already have an '05 VTR, '07 VFR, '88 NT650GT, '84 VT500FT and my HD FXFD. As you can see, no I4s. I wanted to add one this summer and was hoping to get comments / suggestions from you all. I am not a track guy, I just like to mod and ride. All comments welcomed and appreciated. What model / year would you pick and why? Thank you. JB

Residentg, I would go for the 929 or 954 because i believe they are lighter & moore power than the 900, then out of the 929 & 954 i would choose the 954 because it has the nicer looking swingarm ! I nearly bought one, but choose my firestorm instead, thats my 2 cents . Hope this helps in some way.

954 here too. I have always liked that bike and may end up having one some day.... (very light: claimed dry weight of 370 lb is the same as the F4i)

954 by far - one of the best all round liter bikes - still is - not much comparison to the earlier versions unless you are into nostalgia - you can find some cool first edition models of the 900RR in original shape occassionally but that is a different intent.

954 with a Powercommander and exhaust would still be a formidable weapon. Seems to have comfortable ergos too.

Amongst those three there really isn't much competition... 954 is my choice... Altough the 1000RR seems more tempting too me...

Really enjoy my 954 even though I have to sell it.
It's been my fav I4. I've had F2, CBR1000F, CBR1100XX, CBR929RR, and this one.

Light, powerful, refined, focused, great looking.
better looking than the 1000rr. any.

954 feels smaller than the 929. More torque, more refined and raw in feel at the same time. Much shorter wheelbase and lighter than the 1000rr.

Stock exhaust is actually more desireable to me on an I4.
You will want/need a steering damper. Scotts.

There you go, just go out and get it.

Forget the I-4 stuff......you need a Triumph 1050 triple!
Take one for a test ride, you'll likely fall in lust!

BTW, I didn't notice a thumper in the fleet, you need one of those as well.

Of those choices, 954 all the way! Buy one and hang on! Although the 1000RR has been calling my name for quite a while.
