8541 HAWK, Mike Ramsey R.I.P.

I have read thru the past years i have missed , following the forum. And the original group I communicated with for years seems to have become memories of information, knowledge, modifications, advancements in performance for the Superhawk.
A member that spent time on the forum with other LEGENDS (Tweety, Mikstr, Wolverine, 7moore7, E.Marquez, others) hashing out many modifications..
WE as Superhawk owners... New and Old veteren members have lost one of our greats....

8541 HAWK, Mike Ramsey R.I.P.

The member all of you may have communicated with.. Mike Ramsey (aka 8541 HAWK)
Has i have read back thru the posts, Mike did inform the group of his battle with cancer...
This afternoon (1206) 10/13/2023 Mike passed away peaceful at Circle of Life Hospice Hospital in Bentonville Arkansas.
Mike was a real motorcycle enthusiast ... Mike often mentioned the topics of interest on this forum.
God speed brother.

I'm sure he's flying above us leaning into the next cloud, ready to click up a gear sans clutch, rolling it open WFO...

To answer your question. Mike and i have communicated for years. And after learning of his conditions Mike was very undone in the concerns of parting his Superhawk. After his goal of rebuilding the engine ( help of R. Ditchfield) , with the next step of dyno... In August 2023 Mikes's condition worsened .
Mike and i made arrangements . I will be the owner of the Mike's 1997 Supehawk.
Which i will be traveling to pick up soon.

Rest in peace my friend.

It breaks my heart to read this post. Mike was a great person, I was lucky to have met him in person and visited many times, he was loved by everyone that knew him, he was a great friend and knew his superhawk like the palm of his hand. He got mine running after neglecting it many times. He even gave me his bike jack before he moved out of Cali. I met him before his cancer and saw how it took a toll on him. But he was doing good, or so he said, before he moved. He built that bike of his to beat any bike out there. I rode it once and it was a beast. Mine didnt even come close to his. I wished we hanged out more. He had many great storys and was a gun collector. Rest in peace my friend and ride the skies with your soul.

I've been absent for a few years. I'm sorry to hear of Mike's passing.

I have read a LOT of posts where he contributed his knowledge about these bikes.
SO many posts.

The others mention in OP, too, have been the best resource for us who own & modify these bikes.

You are respected and honored in this community, Mike. Thank You.
