You would think that with way the nation is going under they would have bigger things to worry about eh? Instead lets sh%t on a bunch of guys supporting our company and our bikes. We should all put "unofficial" honda superhawk on our tanks and post pics

Did it ever occur to anyone that maybe they're going to make a new superhawk? I'm REALLY hoping this is the case!!! Seeing as just now they're making a big deal about it. Ha, should send that back in an email - "we'll make it unofficial as long as a new Superhawk is produced".

And if the stickers have to change, nothing a small x-acto knife can't fix =)

If the logo or any of the info about the forum does not say Honda, then the legal pressure is bullshit, as SUPERHAWK™ wordmark is only an offical and live TRADEMARK (according to the USPTO) for the following companies:

Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation
SUNSEEKER INTERNATIONAL (BOATS) LTD UK
PENN YAN AERO SERVICE INC. CORPORATION NEW YORK

NOT HONDA!
According to the USPTO they don't even have a dead TM claim to superhawk.

Sounds like the owner caved because they asked. You could tell them to STFU if you wanted. Or you could bend over and do what they ask.

Is the disclaimer at the bottom of the homepage new?..."Honda and the Honda marquee are registered trademarks of the American Honda Motor Company, Inc. Looks new.... Honda is probably pissed about everyone bitching about the damn CCT's HAHAHAHA!!!!

Only real chime in on the "official/unofficial" crap is can we just change the title to the "best" Superhawk forum or something like that... The unofficial Superhawk Forum just sounds stupid.

f*ck the unofficial ****. Can't we change the name to something else where we won't have to deal with it. Let's gather suggestions and then all vote on it. We could have an official democratic process. let's see, how about The Official Super Chicken Forum.

Sorry... I hate "Super Chicken"... and I actually like being "unofficial".

What say we go for "The Official Unofficial Super Hawk Forum"?

But yeah, Honda Legal sucks. Don't they know how many members we have? I'll bet the Marketing Dept. is pissed at Legal... again!

I agree with Moto Man; Honda doesn't have a legal leg to stand on. They just used the standard legal weasel scare tactics and it worked.
Other than that, who cares what we call the forum? The members are what make the forum what it is, and that won't change regardless of what it's called.

We were OK until some people here started putting Suzuki parts on Hondas. It's like dogs and cats having sex.

Guilty! I'll write a letter of apology to Honda, as soon as they make a better R/R.

don't be too hard on Honda. After all, they gave this awesome machine. If anyone of us or even all of us together could create a bike like the Superhawk for a low price that provided so many positives and so few negatives, we would have to consider ourselves gods.

I just wanted to stir up some trouble and thought this thread was a good one to resurrect. I think this forum is The Official Superhawk forum. I bought my Hawk at a Harley dealer, I buy all my parts on ebay or this site. Honda has had no involvement in my ownership of this bike. Everything I have changed or modified has been either aftermarket or used. Honda is out of the loop.
