Good to find a superhawk forum!!!
hi everyone,
good to see a superhawk forum around.
I have seen many sites all over the world dedicated to superhawk, with tons of info in them. But, it is nice to have a forum to chat about the bike too.
I recently bought my superhawk (used 02 model with about 6k miles on it). The mods include: front steel braided brake line/pad, heli bar raisers, mirror extenders. I love the bike so far.
When did this board start up? is this mainly a U.S. based board?
I will be checking here often, and will invite other superhawk owners in bay area to join in too!
Cheers,
faz

Hello, from another '02 owner! Sounds like you made out as you didn't have to do all of the requisite mods. Has the front fork of your bike been worked on? A good way to tell is to do some hard braking. If the front dives like crazy you still have the OE springs...or you are very light. That and gold valves for the fork are about all I'd recommend you do for now.

Thanks Faz. I put the forum up about a month ago and it is a work in progress. It is US based (The server is in my home in NY) and so are most of the members. My goal is to centralize a lot of the SuperHawk info that is out there for easy access and to provide a good medium for communication.
Welcome aboard and enjoy the new bike!

great work mamisano!
chickenlover (your screen name sounds funny, and perv. in more ways than one!),
thanks for advice. I don't know if the forks are stock or not. I definitely know the advantage of great set of springs, and some valves. I will look into it soon.

New member here. The site looks great, guys. Very glad I found it.
I'm just outside of Knoxville, TN, about 20 miles from Deal's Gap, or "The Dragon" as some call it. I ride a red 98 with a Racetech front and Showa rear suspensions, Jardine high mounts with the logos removed, and polished frame and swingarm. Looking forward to my Sargent and Heli bars....
If anyone's ever interested in making a journey down this way, I can promise it will totally be worth the trip. We have some of the best roads around. Here are are a couple of useful links:
