What do you listen to?

I am a self proclaimed metal head but I listen to all kinds of music with the exception of pop and new country which sounds like pop. I also listen to morning shows like Tulsa's Big Mad Morning Show on 97.5 KMOD which is fracking halarious to me.

So I am curious as to what everyone else listens to and what some of your favorite lesser known bands are? I am a part of the local music scene here in my part of Oklahoma and have connections into about 9 different states and their local scenes. I will post some bands that are amazing and not huge national touring bands if people are interested enough.

Lesser know bands... humm, metal. A friend bought this cassette tape when we were in high school because the art was cool. Little did we know the talent that lied within.

I just recently bought the remastered cd. Still listen to and like it.

Let's bring this back.

Me, I listen to everything but country. Don't really have a favorite artist, but here's a small list of what I'm listening to right now.

Beasite Boys (Of course! I grew up not only listening to my music, but feeling it)
22-20s
311
Atmosphere (Seven's Travels is my favorite)
Ben Harper
Benny Benassi
Bently Rhythm Ace
Black Grape
BT
The Black Keys
Carmen Rizzo ("Travel In Time" w/Kate Havnevik is fantastic. Love her voice)
The Charlatans
Chevelle
Citizen King
Eargasm
Faithless
Fluke
Fun Lovin' Criminals
Gus Gus
H2SO4
Hardknox
Junkie XL
Kasabian
Leftfield
Lunatic Calm
Nine Inch Nails
People Under the Stairs
Quarashi
Sister Machine Gun (liked Chris Randall's earlier stuff from Wax Trax and TVT records)
Soul Coughing
Uberzone
Underworld

Just to name a few.

Here, broaden your music horizons.
Hmm...a couple of these probably aren't work safe.

Yes, Lindy on vocals

Laura Derby on vocals

This guitar riff is my ring tone

Three of my favorite artists, BT, M. Doughty of Soul Coughing and the ever beautiful DJ Rap

My new favorite band of the moment.... Volbeat!
Love these guys. The first line of "Still Counting" hooked me instantly.
