What are the gun laws like in NM?

 

Open Carry- Legal
firearm in your vehicle- Legal
CC permit- $150 and a weekend class, well you do also have to qualify with it.....

So all in all not too bad

Some states waive the class and the qual for military and law enforcement

 

Don't think so here as my father is retired law enforcement and he had to take the class. I think it also because you still have to qualify with the largest caliber weapon you plan on carrying, also revolver\semi-auto or both.

 

That sounds like a great plan. Do you know if you have to re qualify when it is time to renew your permit?
