I don't know about "way" cheaper than a trailer. This is what I use: http://sportutilitytrailers.com/Long...2TA-1TS76M.htm. $380. It's a pretty straight-forward. From reading the how-to on that undertaker thing, it doesn't sound any less effort to use than the trailer. But it does look a lot easier to store when not using it.
Also, you won't go blind from looking at this website...

Oh, these are general purpose trailers. I've simply linked you to a kit they have that includes with a bike ramp/rail accessory. It takes 5 min to remove the rail. I tow a boat on mine. They sell the trailer separately as a utility trailer w/out the ramp kit.

I've seen these on sale for $279 at Harbor Freight.

Another 30 bucks for a sheet of plywood, and a bit more for a sheel lock for it. it also folds up for garage storage. By next track season, I'll have one!

If you only trailer occasionally like me, $15 for 24 hrs at uhaul is also a pretty good deal. I can get either a nice low motorcycle trailer with the fold down ramp, or a fully enclosed one. No worries.

Unless I'm going to the track, the best way I've found to bring the bike along is to RIDE it! And dragging it?! Why don't you just hook a chain around the front wheel and yank it down the road! I run over too much crap in my truck, the flat spot will still be there, and unless you have a clip masterlink, chain removal for tranny safety is just too difficult.

I posted about these a while back...https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...ad.php?t=17081
I ended up buying one. I've got pics of an XR250 on it in post #22. And a review of using it with Shawk in post #27.
Weirdest thing about using em is that the bike leans against the corners.

That's exactly what I do. Plus I don't have to worry about yet another thing to store/maintain. Uhaul all the way!!!
