MOTO GP INDY 16-18, Who is going? Lives there?
Who is going? Who lives there?
My wife and I have tickets andHospitality passes, pit passes ect... and are looking to go.. Never been tothis track...
I’m looking to ride up the 14thand do a IBA Saddle Sore 1000 as part of this, she will fly, get a rental carand meet me.
Going to need a rental car, hotel.. Don'twant to have to guard the door with a shotgun, nor roll my bike inside. but can’tgo whole hog and stay at the Uber Pricey resorts either.
Suggestions?
Track spots to watch from?
Hotels?
Thanks
Erik
Really... No one lives there, or is going to the races?
Well ok then..
After leaving dallas on morning of 14th...

Erik, are you riding the SH or do you have something else? Otherwise you're looking at 18-22 fuels stops! Good thing you got Jamie's suspension!
Sorry no one is responding to you locally, have a great time and post a lot of pic's!

I did some jetting adjustments a few days ago.. Still have great power everywhere but upped the MPG to 32.. and that was on a 300 mile ride with 1/4 at 90-100 mph (protected toll road)
So Im hoping I can be in the 11-12 gas stop range.... for my 1080 "Official Ride" part of the ride... after I get in the confirmed 1000 miles under the time limit.,, I can stop anytime I want...LOL
or about 1630 local time. Im going to ride till about midnight, then find a place to crash for 4 hours.... than back on the road. If Im feeling good.. I'll ride till I done...
I've been averaging 63 MPH while on the road...and 11 min per gas stop from exit at speed to freeway entrance at speed.
So 2:15 in gas stops
17 on the road.
19:15 of 24 accounted for... 4 3/4 hours to play with.
If I get lucky with some 80mph or faster freeways and toll roads... I might make up some time and have more in the bank for sleep, rest, what have you.
Or just as likely I'll hit rain, gulley washer rain.. and find a hotel and a 6 pack... Watch show time and drink a beer and rack till the next day..
The only imperative is.. be in Indy for the races on Sunday. (well I suppose I should show up in Columbia City and meet with my wife when she gets there on the 15th
How Did I miss this post and miss the other VTR down there... I had mine at the track on Saturday. And had Paddock passes for Saturday. The wife even got her picture taken with Nicky After qualifying.
Went Sunday, had an awesome time. Parts Unlimited had a hospitality tent which had a nice view from Turn 10, took my camera and got some nice shots from the corner. Going back next year for the 3 day event.
Bummer that I missed you Erik! I go every year, luckily Indy is just about two hours away. I even rode my VTR this year, it's not been since the first year of the Indy GP (aka "The Hurricane Race") that I rode it down. Maybe next year?
