WTB Super Hawk in the Midwest???
Yeah, sorry about that. Hawkrider was kind enough to list the colors for us and we saw that black was offered twice.
Man that is a lot of miles! ~84,000. Still running strong? When I bought my '98 this year, it had 2 previous owners and only had 2000 miles on it. I've almost doubled that already. Was afraid I was going to wear it out too soon, lol.

Ok so this one in green bay is a yellow one and is a 99 so that wouldn't be a factory job either then??
He is only asking 2200 for it think that is a pretty good price!!!!
Anyone have any idea what average price is going for on these???

It was when I put it away. I fire it up once or twice each season to make sure it still works.
Yepper....like I said lotsa miles.....but mostly hiway. I used the bike for commuting (app 40 freeway miles each way) and sport touring primarily, with some backroad scratching on weekends.
The suspension work I did (Ohlins & Racetech) made it a real treat to ride.
I haven't ridden it regularly since '07 because I retired and bought something a little more touring oriented (2004 Moto Guzzi EV). It's got lotsa miles on it too.....closing in on 100,000 miles. My previous Guzzi (85 T-5) was a high miler too (140,000miles). It's still on the road!
Insurance costs in Ontario restrict my riding to only one motorcycle.
Anyhoo, the 'Storm is a great bike looking for a loving owner.......

Ok i found these two that are fairly close.
Opinions please what do you think???
The black seems a little more custom
Blue has no mods? other than a fender eliminator kit.
Black has been
It’s stock except for the staintune exhaust slip-ons and the flat black paint. It has just over 30k on the clock.
The regulator rectifier was replaced with a R1/R6 one and the cam chain tensioners are replaced as well. The bike has a new chain and sprockets and the valve clearances were checked back in October and are well within spec. I put new cush drive rubbers in the rear sprocket wheel assembly last year because they were dry rotted. it is painted with a tough enamel paint no clear on it. Comes with spare front.

Yeah i was worried about that too, i have been looking a gas tank found a few. red so it might match.
I really like the black one in chicago but the red is newer and cheaper. the black has all the work done to it.
Tough call!!!!

I am in Minneapolis and have an '01 for sale for $2600.00.
I have had the bike listed on ADVrider for a couple of months, and had a couple of "long distance" interest, but I still have it....
Here is copy/paste of the ad on ADVrider and a link to my photobucket showing the bike. It is in EXCELLENT condition for the $$.
Shoot me a PM if interested.... thanks.
2001 Honda Superhawk
36,XXX Miles,
Valve adjustment done at 29320 at Honda Dealership in 12/06 (have reciept), which shows how little this poor thing has been ridden in the last 5 years.
New Dunlop D616 (less than 500 miles on them) installed right before I purchased the bike this summer. Chain/sprockets as new. Needs absolutely NOTHING mechanically. Starts, runs and rides as a Honda should. Does not leak, smoke, engine sounds tight and is STRONG. Shifts perfectly..
Cosmetics are above average for a bike of this year and mileage. A few minor (bb sized) chips (no dents or dings at all) in fuel tank and tail section paint is slightly "off" from the rest of bodywork as tail had crack (something fell on it from shelf in garage in the winter) when I purchased bike. I bought a used tail off ebay, repaired the tabs and had a paintshop do a colormatch of the fender (turned out a bit too light) using dupont base/clear. The shade difference isn't really noticable in sunlight (or in these photos), but in artifical light, a bit more apparent. It is close enough for me not to worry about it. Other cosmetic "blemishes" include a thin scratch on the leading edge of the front fender, and the coresponding scratch on the mirror (see close-up pics). I didn't feel these were bad enough to warrant bothering with. The only other cosmetic issue is that the seat foam has been (poorly) cut down. Superhawks are known for their crappy/uncomfortable seating position, so while this is more comfortable, it doesn't look as good as it could. If I were to keep it, Id be looking for a sargent of corbin anyways.
As for "mods" (aside from the seat), it has Heli-bars, which are a must have on these things for us old(er) guys, and the stock mufflers have had a few extra holes drilled around the main exhaust hole for "sound". Typical mod on the "superhawk forum" as it gives them a bit more personality. Exhaust is still too quiet in my opinion as an RC51 or Superhawk with aftermarket exhaust sounds oh soooooo nice.
So, why am I selling? I bought the bike to scratch the itch of always wanting to try a Superhawk. I "almost" bought one new in '98, but went with a VFR instead. The VFR ended up being the best "do all" street bike I have ever owned...
Anyways, after just shy of 500 miles, this bike just is not for me... Hopefully, someone else will be able to enjoy it.
$2600.00
Free and clear MN title and located about 30 miles north of Minneapolis.
The pics are a good representation of the condition. Its a nice bike for the $.
