FS: Nice '02 Hawk 9300 miles (Midwest)

Okay, I just bought this bike last week so I've been riding it for a week now. I thougth I had to have it but my body can't handle it! Getting old sucks. My neck has been bothering my since I started riding it. I was planning to mod the handle bars and have everything coming but I don't think it's going to make enough difference. Anyway, it's a nice clean '02 pretty much unmolested with only 9300 miles on it. I did remove the baffles from the stock pipes within an hour of owning so it sounds really nice. Tires have lots of life left. Red. Just needs a rider. I can email pics upon request. I'm going to get some good pics within a day or so. I will post some on here to. Asking $4500 and I'm located in Jasper, IN. Shoot me a message or email if interested. Thanks!

Here's a link to the Ebay Classifieds that I listed it on. Not an auction, just a regular classified with more pics.

My father says getting old almost always beats the alternative. I'm beginning to believe him!

I say give it more than a week. I though the same thing about mine at first, but after getting used to it for a few weeks it didn't bother me at all.

Yeah, I'd like to think that but sinse I kinda have a history of neck & back issues, I figure I won't push it. I'd been doing real good and ever sinse I started riding it, my necks been bothering me. Hate to get rid of it so soon. It's a sweet bike but I've got several to fall back on and if I feel the need for some speed, I'll jump on my '79 CBX 1000 Super Sport. 6 cylinders of love!

You never know. I kept looking at it today when I was putting together a Harely I just painted and was thinking about going ahead and modding the upper triple and put the risers and I picked up some Pro Taper low bars from a TRX 450 R that I think will work. I'd like to removed the fairing all together and put a naked style headlight on it. If I don't move it quick, I'll probably see what I can do.

Thanks! Haven't had but one bite on it so far. Oh well, if it doesn't sell, I'll go ahead and do the handlebar upgrade and see if that makes much differance.

wow your 4500 price makes me feel better about my bike. I bought my '03 3 weeks ago for 3500 Looks like show room condition except for scuff mark on the back seat cover where PO drug his boot across it. only had 5800 miles on it. I intend to ride it this year then sell and upgrade to an rc51 next season

I believe it weighs in at 750 lbs. I've got both and when I open the CBX up I feel the need to hold on. I don't quite get that feeling on the VTR. Maybe it's the riding position, I don't know.

Sounds like you scored a good deal. $4500 is where I'm starting. If someone is interested, I'd be open to offers. I've seen several '98 & '99 models in the $5000 range.

Asking and selling price are two different things. Market price for early SH's appears to be in the 3K - 3.2K range, even for low to moderate mileage bikes in undamaged condition. Extras don't seem to add much to the selling price, but will improve your chance for a completed sale. Any '98 or '99 listed for $5000 is not reality.........

Thanks Guys! I've got a few other bikes that I'm thinking of selling. Kinda thinning out the herd a little. Where should I send all the specs and such so that you can appraise and tell me what I should be asking? I need to make sure I'm asking the correct amount. Seriously now, this is a classifieds section. I have a bike for sale and I have an asking price. If you are not interested, then just pass the post up. I don't need anyone telling me that they bought one with less miles and newer for less or that I'm asking to much. So let's just leave this alone now. If it doesn't sell, oh darn, I have plenty of room next to my other bikes.

I just bought an 03 with 9000 miles for $996 so I think you are asking way too much jk. Good luck with the sale. Seems like someone hit a nerve when comparing bikes to yours. If you put it out there, you have understand you are leaving yourself open to criticism.
