2500 bucks or trade for DRZ400 or similar style supermoto bike. If need be I will add some cash to make the deal. 2500 firm for the bike though. Dual staintune exhaust, flat black paint and well maintained. Frame and swingarm are polished aluminum. Suspension was just serviced. Title in hand.

The bike is still for sale. Just added some new pictures. I would like to trade for a DRZ or similar supermoto.

I forgot to mention it has a brand new chain, sprockets and Cush drive.
I will entertain trades for anything supermoto or a woods / enduro bike.

Where is the bike located?
I grew up in Tinley Park and travel there quite a bit for work and to visit family. If it is still for sale I may like to take a look at it.

Yes the bike is still for sale and located in Park Forest, Il
I'm firm on the 2500 number and still will consider trades for a supermoto bike or woods / enduro bike.

I'm curious why next to nobody is interested in this / these bikes. Thoughts? I might just keep it because I think it's so good looking. I already have almost enough saved up to buy my supermoto anyway.
Why are people not interested in such a cool, good looking, good sounding street worthy motorcycle? Besides the 110 mile gas limit it's a great all around commuter, canyon carver, street bike. I'm asking 2500 and people still want to low ball me. What gives?

Too big. My best friend has the R model that I can ride whenever I want. I usually choose not to ride it. LOL!

Grasshopper, if I may give my opinion, hold your ground if you are not in a hurry. That is a fantastic looking bike. Problem is, not everyone is into the flat paint look. Someone will come along and just love that bike. Keep bumping it.

seems like a fair price for a good lookin clean machine. As far as interest, spring's coming, craigslist, and ebay might be reach more of an audience. Tell you the truth, i would never had thought about the SH until i rode it. Once that happened, I was certain i wanted it. I think maybe a lot of people just lump the SH into the sport bike in-line four category. don't know.
I was in a local Suzuki dealership trying to purchase some cam shims last year, and was checking out a leftover SM. The salesman saw me drooling over it and offered me a great deal saying that no one expressed any interest in this bike forever. I loved its light weight a suspension and practicality for all sorts of riding, but evidently my opinions are out of sync with the present buying market. What a shocking discovery this was for me!! haha

The DRZ400SM is a fun bike, but I've got to say that it seems to be the U.S. mentality of "bigger is better" might apply to the lack of interest in it. The DRZ is great around town, great in the corners, and fun to be an all out hooligan on.
O.P. Nice looking Hawk. You've got me reconsidering flat black as a possible choice for my project bike!
Most guys around here already own a Superhawk, so I can see why you might have a bit of a hard time selling it. Parting it out is such a hassle, but always an option...
Good luck with the sale!

It's not unpopular! It's a cult classic. Not to mention old. Mine will be 15 years old in September. Almost old enough to drive.

By the way guys the flat black was done with a spray gun. It is not rattle can. It's is 3 parts john deer black to 1 part hardener. The hardener makes it impervious to gasoline and makes it a little more shiny than regular flat black. We tested a metal panel with the mixture and let it cure. Then dumped some gas on it, wiped it off and it did not stain it. The paint is done pretty nice. I couldn't stand the stock yellow anymore.
I appreciate the repsonses. I have 2 guys intersted in it. One guy in Iowa who needs to sell his Harley first and another military guy coming home from Kuwait.
