What's it worth?

Looking at selling my hawk as I just don't ride it that often. '98 with 14,400 miles. Staintune exhaust, APE CCT's, new finned R/R, speado-healer, Sargent seat, MRA double bubble screen and relatively new Pirelli Diablo Stada's. Been down once in a parking lot so it has two very small areas of rash on the left fairing. Is $2500 too much to expect? Located in Central Illinois.

Seems honest to me, but you’d have to show some pictures for me to bet. I’d imagine you have a small window to sell and you probably would have done better to put it up in the spring…? (OTOH, why would anyone in Central Illinois want a canyon carver anyhow )

And of course… you might want to sell off the goodies and go back to stock before trying to sell. It’s very rare that you make money back on things like Sargent / Corbin seats or exhaust systems, but they seem to fetch a fair price here.

Yes, I want your seat. *grin*

Seems about right if the bike's clean. My 2 cents...I'd replace the rashed fairing. If you look around and mix in a little luck it's a minimal investment by the time you buy the new one and sell the used one here or on ebay. About a year ago I sold a mint, spotless, '99 with 20k miles, new tires, chain/sprockets & a few other things for $2750. I did sit on it for @ a month though to get it. And yes selling the exhaust and seat separately and putting the stock stuff back on the bike will also put a few more bucks in your pocket. Good luck.

Just sold my 74 CB550four. Been looking at getting a SH for about a year and finally want to do it this summer.

Let me know if you end up selling it.

+ 1 I'd love to purchase the exhaust.
