98 Superhawk with 66k miles... Worth it?

I'm thinking about picking up this 1998 superhawk with ~66k miles. Guy says it's never crashed & routine maintainence has been done on it. I asked him if the CCT's were done, and he said they were.

Comes with new tires, solo seat cowl, ohlins rear shock, front springs and a two bros. exhaust. He's asking $2300. You guys think it's worth it?

Sounds like the tires and acessories alone are worth $2K and make a big difference on the bike (e.g. the suspension work).

If it checks out do it!

Sounds good.

Anything I should be looking for in particular when I check it out? I read some of the tips in the maintenance thread, and also to listen if there's a clacking sound at idle (for CCT's). I know they've been replaced already, but i've read some cases where people have to replace them twice.

Judging by the responses i've gotten i'm assuming the bikes run well past 66k miles. I know there are a few members on here running past 60k, so i'm not as worried about that.

Personally I would rather take out a small loan for even 1,000.00 and get one with 1/2 mileage. You could pay even 100.00 a month and have it paid off within a year. But other than that It sounds good. I bought a 03 in 06 with 50 miles on it when the factory had left overs I dont know the total reason but there were 3 at my local dealer and 2 down at chicago cycle sales and I ended up getting it for something like 5,500 brand new, ya it depreciates down to an 03 right away but if you plan on keeping it who cares.

Buy it. If the bike craps out in 10k miles, I'll buy your shock.
