what's my bike worth?

I bought my 03' hawk for 5k.....mint in '07 with 600 miles, heli bars, radar mount, and a 3m clear bra. I Dumped it not too long after at about 35...too much front brake! . So now, it has 1900 miles, needs a new upper left cowl, has a scratched stator cover, scratched left fork( at the bottom), and a penny size dent in the tank( the clip-on twisted in). I have replaced the other small stuff so far (pipe, clip-on, subframe...). the right side of the bike is mint, the left side is the dropped side side. The bike runs perfect by the way and has a clear title.

I have no plans to, but if i was forced to....what would be a realistic, fair asking price with its history?? People have asked me, and I'm not sure!?
I'll post pictures when I can.

Thanks Guys!

Depends on what you paid for it...I'd say you need to at least get your money outta it, if you can...that's my 2 centsRC

damage hurts price... I would say $3500... our hawks do not go for much in good condition.

200 bucks. But I'll give you twice that. Honestly, I doubt if you could get 3500 for it.

inderocker is an unknown quantity at this point
It's never worth It to sell a VTR. The return in cash is not as great as the return in smiles you'll get riding it.

My buddy got his '98 last year and it had a salvage title for $3k, its a little rough. However, I scored a super mint '98 three weeks ago for $2500. Economy sucks for sellers right now. There are a few in the Denver CL that have been sitting for weeks on end in the $3500 range, most have been rashed up.

Rough with a salvage title for 3k?! I was lucky enough to pick up a clean title 20k mile '99 that was dropped but other than fairings only needed front brake rotors. He had just put on a new 520 chain & sprockets, and brand new michelins. Gave the kid 1k for it. Sold the jardines, the busted bodywork & the hugger and had a perfect running bike for well under $500. Figure with new tank and bodywork and paint I'll have maybe $1200-$1300 total in it. Kinda had to sway the scale a little in the other direction considering I probably have 3X in my '98 what it's worth

Shizzy as far as your bike goes I'd never sell a damaged bike-just my 2 cents, it just doesn't seem like you'll get squat for it. I'd fix it first, not to hide damage or be shady, but just so you can get the max back out it. Usually I think you'll get more that way. Too bad you just missed a brand new '03 tank on ebay with a buy it now of $140...needless to say it didn't last long. Wish it was red... If you really want to know put it on ebay with a too high reserve and see what it bids up to. Then you'll know exactly what it's worth.
