Do you have these bars mounted somewhat backwards? Meaning if you installed the clip-on part that is on the right in a similar orientation as it is now but on the left tube & flipped the bar 180 degrees (if possible) and the left side clip-on part to the right and bar also flipped 180, would not the bars be wider apart? It seems they are too close together now. Its hard to explain but something is wrong with the way they are mounted now.

Yeah normally they are mounted on the other bar but I guess if you wanted as much pull back as you could get you could mount them that way.

I just got the bike and that is how the previous owner had them mounted.I put the stock bars back on as I prefere the stock seating position.I didn't play around with them,but they did seem a bit to close together...
