FOR SALE: Jardine black hi-mount race exhaust

For sale: Jardine black hi-mount race exhaust (51.5mm)

For sale is a pair of Jardine hi-mount race exhaust (The exhaust tip diameter is 51.5mm). These had served me well but have sat for several years in well ventilated storage. As of this writing, my riveting tool is jammed up and when I went to make a fiberglass packing replacement years ago I was left with one rivet missing from each pipe. Also note one of these rivet points did not align properly and yet this has no effect on the pipes performance. There is a very minor warping of the cans at either end as disassembling them for the repacking took a little extra effort. Some of the chrome has flaked away from the right side pipe on the muffler itself but I never worried about it.

Sale price is $440

The cost of shipping is to be determined – soon. I know everyone wants to save on the stuff and I want you to have your product shipped as cheap but safe as possible.

I don't know the answer to your question because I don't know the standard porting angles the M4 headers were made with relative to the angle of the stock headers - as these were made to interface with. Also the exterior to interior diameter (along with its gasket if required) of the interfacing is also to be considered.
I'm sure someone here has a config' similar to yours and is able to help out with some info' - anyone?

MeanHawk98:

Good morning. Let's make our measurements out - you do your headers and I'll make my measurements so we can compare things for you. Note with my configuration (Stock headers), and the use of these Jardine high mount pipes - they use stock Honda crush/fiber/graphite seals at the interface/s.

ok i can do that, i'm unsure of my pipes diameter also, i do want to disconnect the can risking a exhaust leak, could you take some pictures of how you exhaust is angle and what not by the back of the bike where is would connect to the high mounts, i'm sure mines close to factory dimensions , and would i still b able to keep my passenger pegs with this high mount set-up?

Don't go to the extent of removing your pipes 'n' such and risk having to resue a used gasket for seating. Just measure the OD (Outer diamter) and the estimated seating depth.
*I have to bounce to the store all of a sudden, I'm frippin' out of Half 'n' Half for my espresso and that ain't gonna cut it. Plus I'm out of Kool Aid.
Consider if you are making use of a gasket at the headers and if it is a stock Honda type crush fiber/graphite one - if so - then it is a direct fit. As per the angle of exit and such, these mid pipes are based off of mounting to a stock header. That's about all of the info I have for you there. Check in with some of the other members who have M4 setups - do a search - I'll be back in about 30". I ain't goin' nowhere without my espresso and Half 'n' Half. :P

ya it does have to be what looks like a sealer or a whitish gasket maker in place of a graphite gasket.it is a slip type direct fit, would you b able to look at my pictures i have pics of the full header front to back , maybe if you compare it to how yours looks that might help out.

how would you go about measuring the OD without removing the pipe but still get an accurate measurement?

and i don/t blame ya i would have probably been gone already haha:P

in the mean time ill do some searching

oh and would i lose my pass pegs with this exhaust?

Post your photo's or send me a PM to send them to my email address.

*Note the attached photo to this post.

Inner diameter in the realm of 42.4mm
Outer diameter in the realm of 45.5mm
Outer circumference: ~145mm
Very approximate Seating depth of 31+mm
I don't know the gauge conversion but the thickness comes in at around 1.45mm
As per the rear foot pegs, yes, they are removed in the process. I'm sure some one could fab'/mod' something together to support their safe reuse though.

More pics

As requested - more pics.

Note I identify an area where very minor rust has developed. I am working on cleaning that area for another couple of pictures tonight (PST).
