So, did the first PM get the sale?

 

To be totally fair..
The first PM requested photos, which in I did respond back -That photos would be sent by the mornings end.
Second PM -I received- was from saw- requesting info "if I still had the set". and requested Pay-Pal account info..
I did provide that information. and went back to take photos of the exhaust to send to first request.
Before I transmitted photos to the first PM request.
I received a notice of receiving full payment from Pay-Pal.

If I am wrong on how this transaction/ or sale was concluded... Please advise.

 

I honestly felt a little jipped since I was looking for a photo of a used product as they weren't listed as "New". I was hoping to receive the photos asap so I could also send payment if the product was usable and within reasonable quality. Not sure why someone would just send payments without looking at the item first..

I can find another set somewhere else.... I just wasn't expecting to be overlooked and then not be notified by in reply by PM. I had to find out by just glancing over the threads while waiting for photos.

Anyways... GLWS and thanks for posting up an item of supposedly good quality.

 

1st PM has dibbs period. At least that's how most of us roll. I respond to the next guy with a.. you're second in line.

 

Well my would be that I would have done the same thing. If the first request was for pics, well I have had a lot of folks what pics but not buy.

So the lesson to be learned here would be maybe you should say " I would like pics and will buy them if acceptable" because the next person might just have cash in hand and say send them. Also that asking for pics does not mean the parts are being held for you.

Sorry you missed out in the sale but chaos has always been an upstanding member and I'm sure he would have held them for you if you had committed to buying them if the pics looked good, not just ask for pics.

Once again this is just my on the matter.

Why would I send payment on an item that may or may not exist or be in terrible condition?

Not infering that he was selling an item of terrible quality but just entertaining the thought of a blind sale.

Please ask clarification of my responces to all members in the transaction / from the site command..

He can read the posts / PMs / etc.

I am as confused as you - about anybody sending fund for a unforseen item.
I did offer to send photos to him also.

I do apologize for any unfair process.

Not trying to whine over here was just really taken back is all. Was asking for photos with the buying intent as I did not need a D&D wallpaper on my desktop.

At the end of the day, its a closed sale. Figured id let you know that i felt that it was unfair and possibly you would take that into consideration for future sales. If I PM you on a sale where your asking for a PM and don't have photos available, expect someone to ask for them initially as they want to see what is actually for sale.

To appease onlookers, in the future I will add more verbage to my PM's to sellers by adding more hype to my possible purchase so I can be treated as first inline.

I didn't mean to step on toes guys!! I figured this used set had to be at worst scuffed or at least salvageable (from his description, I'm sure he would have said dented/trashed/etc. Or he wouldn't have listed them for sale). Being a known brand, for a good price, I just pulled the trigger without thinking twice. I may not even like them as I currently have my stockers debaflled, if I don't, I'll sell them for the exact same price on the exact same terms to the first guy. I wasn't worried about the condition as long as they were usable, and for a better price than the cheap DanMoto pipes I was hesitant to even think of buying.

I think things are smoothed out here. I'd rather not set a hard rule about how transactions are conducted, but I think it's fairly obvious from what just occurred here what "good business" is. As far as banning and whatnot, none of that will happen on a first occurrance.
