Hey guys, its been fun but due to a looming house purchase in the very near future, I need all the funds that I can get right now in one place for a down payment, so the SHawk has to go. Located in College Station, Texas. Heres the lowdown:

1999 Black VTR 1000 w/ 17.7k miles on the odometer.
The currently installed motor has a mere 5420 miles and is also from a 1999

The Bad: battery cant keep a proper charge, leaks a little coolant after a ride (i think its from the thermostat which I have 2 spares of, I just never got to taking the plastics off to see for sure) various scratches on plastics with one 1.5" crack that has been "welded" back together under the RS blinker, scratch on installed RS engine case

The VERY bad: The frame that is installed on it right now is the original 1999 that I have a Bill of Sale for that I got from the original owner's friend. Ive tried a few times to get him to send me a copy of the original owners DL so that I could file for a lost title and get it in my name but to no avail. The bike IS NOT STOLEN and I can give the VIN# to whoever wants it.

Silver Lining: I am also putting into the sale a 2003 "Salvage" Titled Frame so if you feel so compelled as to swap the frame out, youd be able to title and register the salvage frame easier than the no title frame I believe.

Ive spent total well over $5000 and you could easily get that much with parts alone if you were to do a part out, but like I said, Im pressed for time with the looming house purchase...

All plastics are there (even the front fender not installed) except the chin fairing, never had one and kinda never saw the point to it so I never bought one.

I tried the High Heat spray on paint for the headers and it didnt turn out so well, hence the ugliness, but it should come off with a good scrubbin.

No I am not planning on parting out anything as of yet, but if I were to part out, I wasnt going to tear the engine down and sell it piece by piece. Everything goes together.

 

Price dropped to $3000 obo. I also found a left VFR clipon that I was hoping to find the right to do the raised bars that is also included. Let me know if you are interested.
