A guy I know is selling a 98' superhawk with abo 22k miles. Its got some cracks in the fairings and needs a new mirror. Also its been sitting in a grage for a year so the battery is gonna need to be replaced. Hes only asking $1200 and I feel like I could either resell it immediately or fix it up and make some money (if I dont end up keeping it). Anyway I just wanted some other opinons on the value of this bike. thanks.

Aloha bjaykay, welcome to the forum. I feel that it is a good price. If you can jump start it from another M/C batery or a car battery(WITHOUT THE CAR MOTOR RUNNING!) it should do O.K. If you can get it running and you can ride a motorcycle
(no insult intended-just to be safe) you may find, as just about everyone else on this forum that is a KEEPER. 22K mileage for a properly maintained bike in my opinion just broken in. Just got my S/H back on the road after about a 10 month storage. Started
after the second attempt. But kept on a battery tender during its entire "rest". Took her out just yesterday after a MCCT and depairing mod. Actually got "re-initiated" to the torque after having ridden my VFR700 during this time. Actually did some unintentional second gear wheelies on a slight left turn, :O . Man, it felt great to be back on the S/H again. Just got to repack my C/F Two Bros.(Loud). Did the around the island with my M/C club(all cruisers). about 250 miles. She did well. Good luck what ever you decide, but IMHO you may find a diamond in the rough. Ride Well...

Thats what Im thinking too Onomea I'm picking it up today and cant wait to ride, the dude Im buying it from replaced the battery, but since test driving it I found out it wont go past 7k rpms im hoping its just the spark plugs or needs a new coil if anyone has any ideas its be a great help
