That bike is a beauty. Is it still for sale? I wanna price check the aftermarket parts--What type of lower fairing is that if you don't mind? Or links to price it out?

Just in case anyone else is wondering

the lower fairing is Mario Nava : http://web.tiscali.it/mario_nava/vtr1000r_e.html (about $1200 shipped to the states unpainted) ($300-$500 for paint)

the rear swingarm, wheel and handlebars are from a VFR (what ever the prices are on ebay at the time)

the exhaust is custom 2 into 1 (what ever the shop charges per hour - im guessing about 4-5 hours of work)

the full 16k service is done, including valve adjustments, new chain, front forks rebuilt to factory specs (depending on what shop does it, about $700-$1000 - parts and labor)

So in reality, if you do not own a superhawk, there is no way you can build this for the price that I am selling it for, and if you do own a superhawk, for what Im selling this for, you could sell yours and buy mine and still save a ton of money if you wanted to do the conversion yourself....

I am amazed how long this thing has been available for. It is such a pretty bike and a well done swap.

tell me about it. I see stock superhawk's selling in the 3k range and for what I am asking for this bike $3850, you think someone would jump on it. I paid so much more for it when I bought it, but that's life.....

thanks for the bump...

Hello!

Hi Eric.... BLIGHT here! I heard you were trying to sell the SSSuperhawk. It looks really good in the pics.

The economy is still in the crapper, or someone would have bought it by now. You might try ebay, and put a "Buy it Now" price of $4500 or so. The whole world is your market, not just a few guys on this forum. 16K miles on a 12 year old Hawk is just barely broken-in!!!

I don't ever check in here anymore, (I'm on the Triumph & HD forums) but I just had heard the bike was up for sale. I'd would buy it back, (I do miss the awesome power....) but it's so friggin' fast I'd prolly get thrown in jail!!!

These days I just tool around on my Triumph Thruxton at a much more sedate pace.

Good luck, and sorry none of you guys here can swing the deal. It was a LOT of work to build this bike and there's no way you could do it for what Eric's asking.

Cheers!
BLIGHT

I was wondering why it wasn't at the end of the driveway anymore. I stopped and looked at it, and it is nice. If your going to keep it a while you should look into a front end swap, it makes a world of difference.
