WTF

Ok, so I had a little time to do a few things. I went to the 15/43 set up.
Then I decided to take a look under the tank, check the air filter and all.
I open the airbox and find to areas that that worry me. One is in the front the other in the rear. Appears to be part of the pairs system? To oval shaped things with 3 holes in each and a breather hose. What I found was silicon residue. I'm guessing this was an attempt to block off the 3 holes? What should I do?

For the Pair removal you only block off the back right hole that connects to the PAIR valve.

The 3 holes that I'm speaking of have no hoses or anything going to them. Open holes in the bottom of the box and a breather hose. It appears that the filter blocks these off from the rest the airbox. Should these hole be blocked off? Also just out of curiosity, what is the white canister?

The white canister is an oil catch. Do you have k+n? I know with the k+n there is special block offs that go on top of the two raised holes.
