Where do these two hoses go?!
Where do these two hoses go?!
I believe the PVLAIR is removed, however I cannot say for sure. After removing the carbs, I see I have two hoses which were not connected. I'm trying to figure out where the hell they went and /if they should simply be blocked up. This is a CA model Superhawk 1998
But a good tip is to have them outside the carbs, going down, since they tend to be blocked by fluids when routed in and up like stock...
Those are carb bowl vent/drain holes. Supposed to be open. It is generally advised to "unthread" them from the carb frame and point them downward, as sometimes fuel will fill the kinks and cause the carbs to act up.
<FACE PALM> So that night I drank .....1/2 750ml of cheap Vodka AFTER I had completed the removal. While I had taken pictures, I had not specified that these two hoses were not connected...of course my memory wiped itself out and the following day I am like "wtf." No pictures of where those two where connected. I totally forgot they were supposed to NOT be connected.......................
So... DO as I say, not as I do........
You guys are a godsend, the carb re-calibration + synch has been so EASY thanks to everyone.
I thought the bike was running...."WELL" after the HAWK carb setup + synch...OMG..... I cant go nearly as WoT as I did before...simply amazing...moving on to the MMCT and then .. well that's it!!!!!!!!!!!
It feels like ahole new bike...
I had 190 / 195 /48 with 3" turn out K&N.
175 /178 /48 1 1/2 + 1/3/4 turn out replaced K&M with OEM. Replaced foam inserts.... wowowow

I had NO IDEA the CA model had the boost valved for both front and back....
I purchased a boost valve months ago........and then I had forgotten , I re-purchased ANOTHER boost valve...... So, I have 2 boost valves which I do not need. ROFL....
Have an equal length for both front and back for the "yard stick" style carb synch. Worked so easily, my god this thing is running 1000000% better.... As a noob, I had no idea what "good" really was. Anyone need a boost valve?
IF AS AN IT TECH NOOB, WITH NO MECHANICAL KNOW-HOW CAN WORK ON THIS BIKE.....ANYONE CAN...WELL....ANYONE WITH A BRAIN IN-BETWEEN THEIR LEGS >.<
