weird sputter

Hey all Im in the process of getting my firestorm ready for registration.
however I have a small problem.
the bike misfires and sputters in between 1200 and 2500 revs.
when I twist the throttle fast or slo it still does it
after that she revs right up.
took ari filter out and cleaned it.
sometimes it sounds like a backfire from carb?

If you have a K&N (or other aftermarket) air filter, try the stock honda one first.. Aftermarket filters on our bike require a rejet to work right. (more so than just aftermarket exhaust)

Make sure all the hoses that go to the air box are connected. If one of the hoses is off it can let too much air in causing a basically stock bike to miss, and lean backfire.

Yea thats what happened to my bike. Check your carbs and see if they are synched. My bike was having those problems. My carbs were not off by much but the little adjustment Cornandp did made a HUGE difference.

Not really, that's from the valve breather.. If it is a lot of oil it'd be a worry, but a little bit is normal.
