Are two mounts really necessary for stock cans?
So I bought Magnus's stock exhaust. I went to install it this morning only to find that apparently when I crashed years ago I bent by left peg mount. I never really noticed because my Jardens didn't use that mount. So, either I can replace the foot peg mount at some trouble and expense or I can just cut the front mount off and ignore it. What does the crowd think?
As always, any input is appreciated. Thanks,
Kendrick

Any mounting points to an extrusion/extruded, vibrating part, such as an exhaust - I would secure, per design intent. Therefore, if Honda designed the muffler with mounting points, they were aware of noise/vibration suppression to be taken advantage of in that area.

I normally would fully support this plan, but it's bent in such a way that the tab is interfering with the mount...
That being said, who wants to sell me a new left foot peg assembly for cheap? I say assembly because the shift peg is bent as well, I just hammered it back into place. Now I might as well replace the whole mess. Well off to e-bay...
