Think its My RR

charged battery completely..started bike,, hesitated some but got going then after getting it warmed up went on my way.. noticed at times it was having no power and seemed like bike was just not producing power.. shut off on highway.. started back up with some work of choke..and gas... ran about 1/4 mi.. shut off coasted to stop and battery did not have power to crank over.. jumped it.. bike idled for 20 ish seconds then shut off...

does anyone have another idea agree or disagree? think im a complete idiot.. anything ? do you think i have no buisness riding a motorcycle somthing come on!

Replace it and see - especially if it looks like this...



Might want to replace battery as well.

Use the search facility as there are many previous threads about the R/R (Regulator/Rectifier) problems, along with the CCTs which are the two major reliability weaknesses on the VTR. Sort those two out the way, so you can continue riding worry free.
