Question Tachometer Dead After RR Failure

Greetings Members,

I'm in need of some advice.... I recently had my rectifier go and it resulted in a frying my cdi unit, blown tail light bulbs, battery, and tachometer. After testing with 2 different cdi units I thought the tachometer would begin working again but it is still not operational despite everything else on the instrument cluster is working The bike is running fine but I still have no tachometer.

Is the tachometer truly fried or is there another fuse or anything else I should look at replacing before spending the money for a new tachometer/speedometer cluster??

Have you tested the speed sensor unit? Checked the sensor wiring?
