I need a tach for a 98 ... old one apparently fried... Drop me a note if you have one in working order.

Have you tried the test/diagnostic procedures in the shop manual? (If you don't have one the manual's posted on line on this site.)

 

I didn't consider the ICM ... I'll check that peak voltage to confirm and post the results... what happened was the VR failed and took out the battery and some lights then the tach wasn't working... I assumed (I know, bad) the problem was obviously the tach... We'll see ...

 

Well voltage is over 10.5, so it looks like the electronics in the tach ... anyone got one for a good price ??
