Stupid penske shock failed again

So wow havent been in this room for a minute.
RIding home to Queens from Revzillas new store in Brooklyn I got pummeled by the bumps in the road.due to my penske shock failing yet again. A few years ago I was in Manhattan in about 23 degrees when a valve let go and the shock sank down to full compression. I had to ride home on a real low rider.
So my question is, Is Jamie Daughtry still around here and still doing shock builds?

Xeris how have you been? You still superhawking or just mentoring in here?
I'm still street riding but put racing on slight hold this season.

Too bad but there are several other good suspension shops out the if you need input.

And yes I'm still riding but was off 8 months due to health issues. Longest I hadn't ridden in 50 years!

My Penske is due for a refresh, as are my K-Tech on my FJ09 and twin Fox emulsion shocks on my R

D400. But they'll have to wait until winter...

Wow nice garage and bikes. Looks like you could sleep in there with them. I was about to put similar driving lights on the vtr but they wound up on my TTR125. Real nightcutters.

My shop is carpeted heated air conditioned 22' of workbench two lifts and ceiling fixture lights so you need sunglasses

You get the idea it just can only hold 3 bikes at a time so it's too small

The driving lights on my VTR are what I'm replacing with LED that while smaller are actually 60% heavier so I have to reinforce the mounting system that sticks out the nastrils on the front faring

Everything else except the instrument illumination bulbs I converted to LED years ago along with installing a mosfet vrr I wired in.

Now if my bod was just in shape enough

for me to ride any distance!

Skokie what other quick good and cheap options are there for shock rebuild? Just spent hours removing the faulty penske and throwing a stocker in for a temp fix.

Joe,

I didn't say cheap but as I'm at work, I'll try to get back to you ASAP because my suspension shop list is at the Bret Cave.

There are of course the usual suspects; i.e., Penske central and Traxxion. I'm not sure if Lindeman is still around; the original owner died many years ago. I have three or four others that I actually spoke to earlier this year planning for winter solstice.

How you bean udderwise ?

Jamie is still doing the work, just not on here much. So I’d message through his website for a quicker response. He recently helped me value a nos F4i converted shock I needed to sell.

I recently got my Ohlins rebuilt for new blue. Waited way too long, it had blown out too. Was like riding a pogo stick. Cost me a small fortune.
