Sticky Speedo

Hey Guys, quick question.

When I accelerate through the full sweep my needle sticks at about 160, the jumps when i hit about 180-190km/h. Sometimes it will stick past 190, then jump to 230km/h, which is no good, i like to know when i am going past the "Ludicrus Speed" marker.

Is there anything i should lube? I think the speedo works with a pulse generator or something, so it's probably in the clock internals, but i don't want to start pulling that all apart. I might break some tamper seal or something.

Anybody else ever have this problem?

the speedo is electronic driven, you may be able to find a local speedometer shop that can repair it.
