sprocket gearing

sprocket gearing

I have a 1998 superhawk with 16,000 the carbs have been jetted with a dyno jet stage one kit K&N air filter and a set of D&D slip ons I wanted to go down one tooth in the front or make it easer to wheelie but i still want top end and make it streetable what should i go with some one told be down one in the front will be perfect

My 2 cents is that 1 down in the front is a good improvement. Cheap and easily reversible. You can always try it and go bigger in the back if you want but this is the simple first step.

Well, there is a consensus around here that -1 on the front sprocket is better than stock. Some consider it optimal.
Give it a try. You'll probably like it.

Then get rid of that K&N filter.
