So you sick of cct questions yet?

First let me say hi, newbie here, but long time moto guy. Picked up a 98 shawk for a new track day bike project, changed out the stock cct's for ape cct's, pulled both valve covers and checked valves while in there, boy theres not much room for big hands on that front one huh. Anyway when I buttoned it back up she idles slower, just barely wants to stay running. No rattle from the chain and it sounds ok. Why would it be idling slower? Thanks. bete.

might just be honda magic. the idle screw is on the right hand side of the bike i believe, just give that a turn and bring her back up.

how tight did you tighten the ape's down? If they are too tight it could affect the idle.

I just did finger tight, but I am a blacksmith and have been told that I have very strong hands seriously I might have gave them a tiny bit more while locking them down but not more than a quarter turn. bete.
