screwdriver stuck in swingarm AHHHH!

ok so i am putting on my new rearsets and i was removing the axel bolt ( the one that the swing arm pivots on) and it would not smoothly slide out, so i use my 25pnt IQ and use a long screw driver to tap the bolt thru but in the process of pulling the screwdrvier out it gets wedged in between the top of the motor mount hole and the swing arm! it is so tight I cannot pull it out, and the axle will not budge either...

Can you use something underneath the swingarm (like a jack) to relieve pressure on the swingarm bolt?

contract your s.o. to pull it out while you lift the swingarm

The swing arm & motor mount holes must have shifted as you tapped the first few inches of the axle thru.

Did you take the rear wheel off? The weight of that, plus the stress of the chain would throw things askew as the axle was being pushed out.

Agree w/ Marmaladeboy, but i think you may need to work on raising the rear part of the swingarm.

Nice I did that once on rear rim of a Katana. but the screwdriver head was so big it was REALLY REALLY jammed. It took 2 days and all my friends to get it out dont feel to bad we all do things that seem like such a good idea at the time.

Not if you take a lesson from us and dont shove things in to get axles out. Ive been using my 3/8 ratchet extentions lately and have not had any issues getting it stuck.
