Retrofit Shroud Fell Off

I got a retrofit kit from TRS a month or so back. I used JB Kwikweld to set the shroud on. I globbed it on and let it cure. What other solution could I take to making sure the shroud stays on?

What is this shroud that you speak of? Pics?

No first-hand experience here, but if it came loose due to heat expansion and/or vibration, what about using caulk or some other flexible adhesive or even an appropriate version of gorilla glue?

The shroud I have clipped in to place, didn't require any glue to hold it on.
It should have little tabs that clip into the housing and is held on that way if I remember correctly.

On the website, shows the housing, then the black ring that clips on then the shroud which clips on the ring.

Should be very tight and not come off at all.

I used the bullet shroud from TRS with the mini 3.0 projector. It is supposed to be press fit but the tabs snapped and left it loose.

I was thinking that's the best option as opposed to the epoxy which may become brittle. People suggest GE Silicone II, but I wasn't sure if that would be appropriate for the application.

Happened to me too...a week after install, very frightening on the highway...ended up taking it apart and a tiny dab of gorilla glue on three spots and it has stayed strong since....one spot expanded too much and I can see it from a couple angles looking at the shroud itself...but who does that but me

I hear ya, bearshawk. It took me three different installs to get it done right. I used epoxy and heavy duty double sided tape. The final and best product was GE silicone II caulk for bath and kitchen. It's held up wonderfully after proper curing
