Replacing starter enrichment plungers

Searched the KB first but didn’t find the info I need. I picked up a used 2003 ‘Hawk and I’m trying to replace a missing starter enrichment plunger for the front carb. How do I make the cable end longer so I have enough to pull the cable stop through the new spring and choke plunger? I don’t see any obvious way like the throttle cables with their length adjusters.

With the choke **** pushed in, there should be plenty of cable to go though the choke tube nut and spring then slip the cable end into the starter valve

Ok, thanks all! I was able to get a but more cable play by removing the cable assembly. Snapped one of those damn plunger bodies installing the carbs after a clean/rebuild. Already messaged JackFlash to buy a pair of his brass replacements. Waiting on a replacement tank from eBay (couldn't save the rusted out original, too many pinholes).

Ya, I saw a few bubbles under the paint when I got the bike. The prev owner left it parked for 8 years with 3/4 tank of fuel. I knocked the loose rust flakes out with 3lbs of drywall screws, and filled it with some Prep & Etch phosphoric acid to get rid of the rest. I knew the tank was pretty much worthless, but I thought I'd confirm. Yep, she's toast!
