so i have had a couple happy months with my 03'. started her up this morning and had never realized until now that the rear turn signals dont act as running lights and only come on with the turn signal indicator. so i looked in the manual and found that the rear signal bulbs are not the same as the front. has anyone ever noticed this? i know many of you have gone aftermarket and they do look sweet. do they also only function as turn signals?

 

Yup, the rears are two-wire. You'd need to modify the wiring to get running lights, as well as getting different signals. There are plenty out there, and if you decide on LED signals I have a used VFX running light kit I'm selling for $20. Let me know if you're interested.
