Rear Shock
Looking to beef up my rear Suspension, I got great advise from HERE to remedy my front fork issue. Now i need your expert opinion once again...... I see alot of VERY SPENDY aftermarket rear shocks for my 02 SH. So with out dropping that much coin.....does anyone have ANY ideas ? Like a shock that will fit my 02 SH from a differant bike that may be stiffer....keep in mind i am a big 6'3" 270lbs.................

A JDM (Jamie Daugherty Motorsports) F4i shock conversion is the cheapest solution outside of finding a unusual deal on ebay. It is still going to run you a fair bit of cash, but it will be half the cost of one of the name brand ones and reportedly just as good.
edit: it's DMR, not JDM.. www.daughertymotorsports.com

Don't rule out upgrades to your stock VTR shock. Many people are amazed at how well you can make them work. The cost for doing that including a spring (if needed for your weight) is just $280. Dollar for dollar I think it's a great value.
The best option is a converted F4 shock with spring and valving. The cost for that is $460, which is still a great deal considering that it performs as well as a $1000 aftermarket shock (from my experiences).
