Goofy q about rear shock...

So I just noticed lately that every picture I see of the VTR, to my memory, the rear shock is red...mine is definitely bright yellow. Was just wondering if this was a year or plant-specific thing or if I might have something funky going on with the rear shock. Mostly just curious.

Thanks guys.

Yeah I meant the spring... Maybe all these red ones I'm seeing are upgrades... Just figured it was worth an asking

All the stockers I've ever seen have the yellow spring. I believe Fox has a red spring.

there is yellow, red, and black IIRC...all came OEM

i dont know why they are different, but i believe it is the color of the bike that determines the color of the spring

im sure someone will know the correct answer

I think all US models came with yellow springs. I cannot remember ever noticing a different color. I'm pretty observant of those things, I can't tell you what color the "SuperHawk 996" sticker is on the side but the spring I would notice.

My spring is Hyperco purple. What a very unfortunate color for them to choose. I'd rather have red or navy blue...
