Radiator fluid change

I'm at 9k+ miles now on a 2005 and was wondering when one should change the radiator fluid? One guy told me every season. Opinions?

I put in WW too. I flush mine out every 4-6 months.

I lost my service manual .pdf file. Where is the bolt I need to drain the fluid? Thanks.

Drain bolt is on the front side of the front cylinder, just above/behind the hose that connects the two radiators.

I changed my at the 16K service and it really needed it, so doing it at 9K would be even better.

I use WW too and 50:50 anti-freeze and distilled water solution and make sure the anti-freeze is silicate free...

The bolt is on the front cylinder/case and if I remember right it's behind/under the oil cooler. When I drained mine I took the lower hose loose from both radiators and opened the drain plug that way you get it all out for sure...

Thumper is an unknown quantity at this point
I use "Engine Ice" as it still gets pretty cold here in TN and the garage is not heated. I occasionally run Red Line WW and Distilled water, but usually only for a track day when it is required. I think WW is more effective and better cooling, but i don't won't a busted block due to freezing.

Engine Ice protects from freezing down to -27 degrees F.

I Usually do change every other riding season.

Yeah, I heard Engine Ice is good stuff, better than Redline's Water Wetter (which I've been using).

I run evans cooling water free coolant; they say it will run 10-15% cooler than anything else & lasts as long as the bike. Even if it won't live that long, we all neglect the coolant so I figure its safer by alot. It sure isn't cheap though.
