Yes, I'm sure you can make some sort of harness yourself cheaper, but can you do it with the correct plugs, wire, shrink tube with strain relief, for the same price, I doubt it (except those in the electrical field with easy access to the products).

These are the waterproof Furukawa connectors that Yamaha uses. One goes straight to the battery with an inline fuse, the other he can put the stator connector on for you (soldered).

This will also safely eliminate part of your stock wiring, which we all know, is small gage wire anyhow.

He also has on the same page, the stock 5 pin generic connector for anyone who wishes to replace their R/R with a stock Honda one but has burned up the connector.
