My thought was if you want the cylinder on TDC, pull the plug on the cylinder you are NOT doing, that way while turning the engine, when it comes up on compression it will HAVE to be the one you are doing. Then do the same for the other cylinder. I'm thinking this may keep from having the cam chain skip the way people have said it could.

I'm still waiting for some feedback from some of the people who've gotten the tensioners. I've got all six sets I had cut are out there and only SMK has been in contact. I'm kind of figuring no news is good news. If they didn't work I'd be hearing about it. That or everyone is not riding. I have another batch being cut, so it's going to be about a week for them to show up for me to finish.

I just sent a set out for a Vulcan 1500 and I've gotten feedback in two days. Good feedback on the first one we've done. It may need a slightly longer bolt is all. Like I said, they're all similar in what they do and how they work.

I am looking to hear from someone soon. I know SMK will be in touch, but he may have engine damage from the failure of the stock ones. He and I figure why not try the manual units before teardown in hopes that he didn't trash any valves. It's worth a try.
