Question for those who have done "comfort bar" mod

So, my sister got me a new Pro Taper bar for my CRF450 (Pastrana model)which I installed, and now I have my old bar a Pro Taper oversize Carmichael model.

I would like to do this mod with this Pro Taper Bar.

These are my questions;

#1) Has anyone done this mod with oversize Pro Tapers?

#2) I am assuming you just drilled two holes though the top triple clamp, this shouldn't be hard as I have access to a machine shop - just want to make sure.

#3) Have any of you noticed vibration problems? I was going over this with my local Honda dealer and he said Harley makes a great dampening filler piece (can't remember what it was called). You basically drill the hole bigger than the bar clamp bolt, put the rubber Harley dampener in THEN put the clamp bolt through. It sounds like a good idea, I just wonder if it is truly necessary.

Thanks

-HF

1) yes, on stock and other front ends
2) yes, just get the right risers
3) no. I used bar end weights and its as good as stock. the handlebar snake might work but some fat bars have very narrow diameters at the end and might not fit.
4) I suppose, if you really need it.

That's not even necessary... All you have to do is put a rubber washer under the risers and there will be almost no vibration at all.
