i have a race cap on my vtr at the moment but want to change for the standard key cap, i got the cap in a box of parts and the key seems to be stuck in it, i cant turn the key either its just stuck?

any ideas?

 

I think the latch or latches that hold it closed have to be in the closed position to get the key out. In other words if cap is open key will not come out. If cap is closed key can come out. I'm sure lawyers were involved in the somewhere.

 

had a look again its all good, theres a collar on the inside you have to push to unlock or lock it so it will only work if on the bike or collar is pushed it
