P.A.I.R. tube/hose question.. Help!

In regards to the PAIR, where does the tube ( #10) connect to on the top? I know the #16 tubes connect to the top of each valve cover, but what does the smaller in diameter tube connect to on the top? Does it go to the carbs or engine?

I assume you are talking about the smaller hose, which is NOT in the link above, correct? The hose you are talking about comes out of the top of the valve, correct?

If so, then that hose (drawing p/n 35, below) travels to a T fitting (drawing p/n #28, below) from the right side of the front carb.

Keep in mind this is from a Canadian with a Canadian bike. I don't know how this might change if you have to deal with other emissions components (although I don't think it changes).

and the hose you are talking about should run to the front cyl.

Am I correct in thinking that the California version has this hose running to the front cylinder and the non-CA version has it running to the T fitting on the front carb right side? Thx guys

WHICH?

Hi there...do you know which bike you have California or 49 state model...?...also the newer models especially the california bikes have a lot more smog crap....don't ask me how I know?...
My advice is to remove all that crap.....not easy on a newer california model.....
you will need a manual....block plates...and caps and such to block of 7 pipes (tubes)....(ca model 2005).....
p.s read my thread re: smog removal help?...it may help...have fun
