Oil Psi New Motor

So here is the ?

On a new rebuilt motor filled with oil and the spark plugs out can you turn the motor over with the starter to get oil psi or does the motor need to fire up?

Turn it over with the starter however I doubt if it will spin fast enough to achieve much pressure !

I have an oil pressure gauge on my bike and at idle it runs about 40 psi and at cruising revs averages about 80 psi up to about 7,000 rpm and over that 90 psi.

Hope this helps.

If you have oiled all the new bearings and Camshafts up you should be good to go anyway.

Cheers
