oil leak

oil leak

Hey guys I have oil coming out of my water pump cover, its leaking from the hose for the overflow, it started out being small like almost nothing, then it stopped and yesterday it was a lot the thing is the oil level doesnt seem to be lowering any ideas? i just put some new clutch parts in due to a crash this is when the issue came about any help would be great thanks guys

I would guess its your impeller seals going. last season I had coolant leaking out the overflow. when I looked into it, I learned that when one of the seals seperating your coolant from your oil goes, it routes it out the overflow rather than letting it mix together. make sure whoever replaces those seals for you is carefull. very exact tolerances when installing the new ones. I have no leaks now.

nice Thnks for the responce buddy I'm pretty sure i already have the seals so now i just need to take it to a shop and let em press in and out lol hope this is it

+1. Sounds like the mechanical seal under the impeller. I would remove the water pump and clutch cover and have a Honda dealer put the new seal in as they can be a bit of a bitch.Seal should be around $30

yeah i think i got the seal and bearing for like forty bucks from ron ayers is it ok to ride it with this issue for a few days this is my only transportation and i cant take it in till mon or so thanks for the help guys

don't forget to order the gasket for the right side engine cover. I did and it meant waiting an extra 2 days.

I noticed my front head gasket leaking today and was wondering if anyone knows where to get the best price ona top end for the shawk? Just thinking I'm going to pay to have it ripped apart for a gasket might as well do piston rings maybe valves probally not any input pls ?

so where should i get my pistons from gasket kit ect I need to find a place that has the best deal ??

i have 47k miles. head was taken off twice to replace valves from damn cam chain tentioners f'in up. did most of the work myself. never thought about replacin pistons. if it works, dont mess with it. keep those tentioners tentioned!!!!!

yeha thank buddy im kinda up in the air on doing the pistons just think it might give more juice and thats always fun but we will see

im think of selling my hawk pm me offers and i will see about some pics its in san diego 1998 with 16,000 miles tbr high mounts tbr bar mounts brand new tires, and some problems dont know whats wrong with it
