Newer Model CCTs

This might be a myth but I read on another forum that newer model SHs have CCTs that are less prone to failure. These CCTs supposedly have an orange dot on them. Can anyone verify if this is true?

Plenty of old threads from 2005 discussing the orange, pink and white dot CCT condundrum. As nothing was ever forthcoming from Honda stating there ever was a problem - I'll leave it to you to decide if superstition and urban (forum) myths are a way to ultimately decide on the merits of Honda OEM implosive risk v APE manuals.

If I end up keeping the bike through the summer I will change them. Until then I will be riding with my fingers crossed.

I changed my out 2 years ago. I started hearing the death rattle from my front chain. The CCT was really loose. I put the manual ones in and no more rattle. I sounds like it did when I got the bike. If your keeping the bike its cheap insurance. Only takes a couple of hours to change them out.
